The Duna table has a structure that follows a soft, sinuous curve - available in wood veneer, lacquered finish, or leather - embodying the timeless essence and elegance of majestic desert dunes. With its fluid and harmonious shapes, the product evokes the breathtaking atmosphere and sense of freedom of dunes formed and caressed by the wind. The same graceful line is found in the tabletop, available in wood veneer and lacquered versions, fully representing the philosophy and aesthetics that distinguish the Capital brand.
Technical Characteristics and Sustainability
The Duna table is characterized by a continuously bent aluminum profile, that outlines the perimeter of each component, ensuring a consistent and harmonious design, as well as a robust structure that adapts to various aesthetic configurations without compromising its solidity.
The table panels are covered with high-quality leather, applied using natural water-based adhesives; this eco-friendly bonding method respects the environment, ensuring strong adhesion over time and preserving the durability and integrity of the covering.
The adhesives and paints are made with ecological products with low formaldehyde emissions, contributing to create a healthier environment for both producers and end-users.
The panels are shaped on molds that allow for the creation of curved surfaces and precisely defined details, enhancing both the product aesthetics and functionality.
The metal profiles are hot-bent, enabling the creation of complex shapes without compromising strength, while maintaining high structural quality. The galvanic coloring process of the aluminum is performed with a zero-emission system, ensuring uniform and long-lasting coloration, while also maintaining the aesthetic appearance over time.
The veneering and polishing of the tabletop and base are carried out manually, using membrane presses; the finish is thus uniform and authentic, with a smooth and perfectly polished surface. The perimeter of the tabletop is routed using a pantograph, and in the case of veneering, the tracing follows the edge contour, ensuring aesthetic and structural continuity, that enhances the overall design of the piece, making it elegant and sophisticated.
The wood grain pattern is hand-stitched, a detail that highlights artisanal skill and meticulous attention to detail, adding aesthetic and functional value to the final product. The combination of various materials is done entirely by hand; the tabletop and legs are crafted with five-axis CNC machines, allowing high precision in details.
The artisanal workmanship enhances both the aesthetics and functionality of the piece, ensuring uncompromising quality. The final polishing is also done by hand, giving an impeccable finish and a precious appearance, highlighting every design detail and enhancing the natural beauty of the materials used.
