ABSIDE By Bolzan
Abside is a small bedside table container that offers various surfaces for support, a monolithic object, but only in appearance because it conceals an unexpected movement in the particular gesture for opening. Made of metal and available in various matte lacquered finishes, Abside tells the tale of a search for an essentiality that is never mundane, inviting careful observation and closer inspection to fully understand its operation.
Geometry, with its simple and perfect forms, possesses an absolute expressive power. A circle and a square intersect in an essential and balanced design, far from obvious, and come to life in two overlapping volumes that, rotating on top of each other, reveal the hidden compartment in the lower module.
Materials: matt lacquered metal in brown, sapphire blue and orange brown.
