How is a continuous floor made?

If there is no pre-existing floor to cover, a subfloor needs to be created with a cement base. Once carefully dried, the continuous floor will be directly overlapped. The subfloor shall be made taking into account the weather conditions, so to ensure a good final result and to avert the formation of all possible microfissures and cracks. It is therefore recommended to avoid temperature leaps and air streams that could contract the foundation in a non-homogeneous way. Afterwards, either cement continuous floors or resin continuous floors are to be laid homogeneously and with a minimal thickness of 2 to 3 centimeters. After the drying phase, depending on the material used, the floor may or not need polishing and the application of protective films for the surface to become resistant to possible scratches and external agents. Continuous floors do not need any special treatment for maintenance; cleaning can be done with microfiber cloths and common neutral, or in particular cases, slightly degreasing cleaners.
