05/03/2025 - Catellani & Smith lamps illuminate the Priesteregg Premium Eco Resort in Leogang, creating a fluid dialogue between design and nature.

Nestled in the breathtaking alpine landscape of one of the most sought-after destinations in the Salzburg region of Austria, the Resort offers an authentic and sustainable retreat. With panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, the resort features 18 chalets and elegant villas, meticulously designed to blend harmoniously with nature. Constructed using natural materials such as aged wood, Swiss stone-pine, and local stone, each accommodation is equipped with premium comforts and private wellness areas, including saunas and heated pools. The villas elevate the experience further, boasting additional luxuries like private swimming pools and expansive living spaces. Catellani & Smith’s lamps seamlessly integrate with the resort’s architecture and custom-made interiors, creating a fluid dialogue between design and nature. Handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, the selected lighting pieces enhance the resort’s refined aesthetic, highlighting custom furnishings, natural finishes, and textured surfaces with a warm and enveloping glow. Beyond their functional purpose, Catellani & Smith’s luminaires possess an artistic essence, transforming the space even when switched off, serving as sculptural elements that enrich the overall ambiance of relaxation and well-being.

Upon entering one of the resort’s exclusive villas, Villa Etaner, guests are greeted by a custom composition of More pendant lamps. Featuring transparent industrial glass diffusers, these pendants cast a sophisticated light that enhances the natural beauty of the long wooden dining table. Suspended by taut steel cables from a raw wood base, the lamps create a striking interplay of lines and volumes.  The More pendant lamp also makes an appearance in the bedroom, where it serves as a refined bedside light, accentuating the handcrafted headboard. In Villa Wossa, the Nuvola lamp, with its intricate structure of aluminum wire and tiny bulbs, hovers like an ethereal sculpture above the dining area. This luminous creation introduces an element of lightness and movement, establishing a fascinating contrast with the warm wooden interiors and exposed stone walls. For the Seehütten chalets, which offer private lake access, the Gold Moon Chandelier was chosen to illuminate both the cozy living area, with its stunning water views, and the bedroom. The golden coloured leaf finish of the irregular shades amplifies the warmth of the surrounding wood, from the massive tree trunk headboard to the soft armchairs, adding a touch of elegance and intimacy. Among the resort’s many features, the Priesteregg Bad stands out for its 25-meter infinity pool, where guests can indulge in an immersive relaxation experience, enjoying exclusive treatments designed for complete well-being. Enhancing the atmosphere of the spa’s outdoor terrace, which is sheltered by a wooden canopy, the Fil de Fer Outdoor installation takes centre stage. The magical radiance of its glowing spheres harmonizes beautifully with the wooden architecture, crafting an ambiance that is both enchanting and serene. Catellani & Smith on ARCHIPRODUCTS
